It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek KIDS is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family. Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. Performed by students in grades 1-5. Approximate Run Time: 30 minutes

Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. Performed by students in grades 5-8. Approximate Run Time: 60 minutes

The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, and its success continued with two West End runs and a recent Broadway revival. With its laugh-out-loud moments and unforgettable anthem “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT is a gloriously entertaining journey that will leave audiences in stitches from start to finish. This show is performed by the Palace Performance Company Seniors (students in grades 8-12).
