The Patron Club is an annual membership that supports all venues of the Georgetown Palace Theatre, including the historic Springer Stage, the Playhouse Stage, and the Doug Smith Performance Center that houses our youth education and training programs. Patron Club members support the Palace with gifts of $1,000 or more annually. Each level comes with its own set of benefits – early access to ticket reservations, name on the marquee, tickets, special events, playbill listing, discounts, and much more!

Choose the specific area you’d like the money to be spent on (ie, Actor Pay)

We reimburse actors for their expenses because the love of theatre doesn’t pay for gas. And we want the best of the best. This gives us an edge.

We rely on unrestricted donations to designate money to the greatest need. Thank you for giving us that flexibility.

Provide an inclusive experience for students of all abilities to learn and participate in theatre.

Help students of all ages and abilities learn self confidence, collaboration, and creativity through intensive camps, classes, and productions.

Serve students of all ages, abilities, and means through developmentally appropriate and technically sound training and performance opportunities in the various theatrical art, such as After School Classes, Education Productions, Camps, Theatre for Young Audiences, Palace Performance Company, Adaptive Theatre For All, and our Daytime Homeschool Program.

Inspire kids with live theatre. Many kids experience theatre for the first time during a school field trip.

CARES Act Tax Incentives Extended 

A couple of key provisions of the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act were extended into 2021 (and, in one case, increased). 

Tax Incentives When You Give to Charity

An expansion of the universal charitable deduction for cash gifts

The universal charitable deduction has not only been extended but given a well-deserved upgrade. The new deduction is $300 for single filers and $600 for married couples filing jointly. This is available to taxpayers who take the standard deduction. This tax incentive is available for cash gifts to qualified charities (but not to supporting organizations or donor-advised funds).

An extension of the cap on deductions for cash contributions

Contributions to public charities are generally limited to a percentage of a taxpayer’s adjusted gross income (AGI). The CARES Act lifted the cap on annual contributions for those who itemize, increasing it from 60% to 100% of AGI for 2020 (and now for 2021). Any excess contributions available can be carried over to the next five years. (For corporations, the law raised the annual limit from 10% to 25% of taxable income.)
